FC was absolutely incredible. I am tired, satisfied, and already planning for FC 2010!
Art show:
"Fox on Stilts" (
) sold for $95 to "Frequent Flier" (
) was sold for it's starting price of $55. I'm a bit bummed no one else bid on it, but at least it's gone. At $55, I got about $15 profit from that piece. I have no idea who got it, but I hope they take good care of it.Badges sold (mail-in included):
12
Sketches sold:
3
Colored sketches sold:
4
Prints sold (total):
13
Original sketches sold:
2
I'm pretty surprised at the low print sales. Charlie thinks I may have overcharged for prints ($7) and that's why they didn't sell, but either way I spent WAY too much money on WAY too many prints to have only sold 13 :/ I'll try selling some online for discount prices (is $5 more reasonable? I based my $7 print charge on other artists at cons who sell prints for $10)
My badges were obviously the most popular. I even got inquiries about them on Sunday, where I had to unfortunately decline people (I have way too much homework already).
Oh, and there was a SALUKI FURSUIT!!

She had a different foreign outfit every day. It was amazing! And she even stopped by our room unexpectedly asking who made our room sign. We felt very honored

Overall thoughts:
FC was just fantastic, bar none. I learned many things about selling my art that I hope to use next year. I met so many new people and strengthened friendships with others. FC has, once again, made me just love the fandom even more. It made me want to draw more. It gave me more inspiration for art. It boosted my self esteem and love for art. It was just FUN and my review just can't put into words how great the entire weekend was

I also loved that fantastic saluki fursuit, and even had my picture taken with her!
Even though I did not realy know anyone at the con, I felt kind of sad to leave as I was waiting for the shuttle to the Holliday Inn and looking back at all the people having fun in the hotel.
Post-Con depression can be pretty bad, but it always goes away and anticipation for next year abounds :3 Hope to see you next year, too, and thanks for stopping by!
